NBS: Local Chinese rebar prices down 0.9 percent in early October

In early October (October 1-10) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar decreased by RMB
34.9/mt ($4.9/mt) or 0.9 percent to RMB 3,685.4/mt ($513/mt), compared to prices in late September (September 2130), as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics.
In the given period, the average price of wire rod, medium plate, hot rolled coil (HRC), seamless steel pipes and angles declined by 0.9 percent, 2.1 percent, 1.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively, all compared to late September.
